Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to join game night. We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA for our website pages, and we keep improving the games themselves.
What we've done
- Pages work with a keyboard, show a visible focus outline, and include a "skip to content" link.
- Text and buttons use high-contrast colors, and the text can be resized up to 200%.
- Buttons, form fields, and color choices have text labels for screen readers.
- Animation is reduced if your device asks for reduced motion.
- Important game moments, like your score, rank, and when you get splatted, are announced as text and through phone vibration, not only through sound or color.
- On the phone controller, you can steer by dragging anywhere on the screen, or with arrow keys and Space on a keyboard. The scoop slingshot aims for you.
- Rounds come in 2, 3, or 5 minute lengths, and nothing on the site requires fast reading.
Known limits
Our games are real-time and visual, so some parts, like driving around the map, can be hard or impossible with a screen reader alone. We're working on more ways to play. If something gets in your way, please tell us.
